Best Camp Kitchen Gear

Best Camp Kitchen Gear

Outdoor cooking should be easy and relaxing. That’s why we introduced the Chuck Box Camp Kitchen – an all-in-one storage, transport, and organization tool for wherever you cook outdoors. Multiple compartments give you plenty of space to hold and organize your gear, but what gear, exactly, should you get? We created this starter camp kitchen checklist to help you stock your new chuck box.

GSI Outdoor Pioneer Table Set

GSI Enamel Table Set

This 12-piece enamelware set contains four plates, four bowls, and four mugs. It’s the only tableware you’ll need to start enjoying your outdoor meals. GSI’s kit is durable, stackable, and maintains a low profile in the Chuck Box Camp Kitchen, leaving plenty of room for more active gear.

Coleman Classic Propane Stove

Coleman Camp Stove

You need fire, and the Coleman Classic Propane Stove is the best portable option out there. The slim design makes it easy to store and transport. And while you shouldn’t store propane inside the Chuck Box, you can place this propane stove on its flat interior top to keep it elevated for easy, level cooking.

Leatherman Skeletool KB Knife

Leatherman

This multi-purpose knife is foldable and light, making it a perfect addition to your Chuck Box Camp Kitchen. We love that this tool does double-duty as a bottle opener, and that it comes with a 25-year warranty.

Farberware 8 Cup Yosemite Coffee Percolator

Farberware Percolator

There’s no better way to enjoy your morning coffee than in the great outdoors. We use the Farberware stainless steel percolator to prepare our campsite brews, and have never been disappointed. It fits upright in the large compartment of the Chuck Box.

Lodge Cast Iron 8-Inch Skillet

Lodge 8-inch skillet

This classic American cookware brand still makes the best skillets around. It will last you a lifetime and get better with age. We like the 8” skillet for the perfect combo of usability and size. Slide it into one of the narrow compartments of the Chuck Box and get ready for perfectly crispy bacon at the campsite.

We keep a number of useful items in our chuck box to assist with cooking, eating, and cleanup. This includes:

- Cutting board

- Pot with strainer

- Utensils

- Paper towels

- Dish soap

- Sponges/dishrags

- Salt and Pepper

- Dish drying towels
